The purpose of a brow lift surgery is primarily
to aid in improving the appearance of the forehead area
by adjusting the droopiness of the eyebrows, and forehead
creases that may cause a person to look tired or angry.
There are two basic types of brow lift surgery : 1) the
traditional brow lift surgery requires an incision across
the hairline where the forehead skin is gently lifted so
that segments of the forehead muscle and excess skin can
be extracted and the residual tissue lifted upwards. 2)
Endoscopic brow lift surgery is resembles the traditional
procedure with the exception that rather than making a long
incision across the hairline, the surgeon makes a few incisions
into which a tool is inserted to lift the underlying muscle
tissue.
Most patients who have had a New York brow lift surgery
are often pleased with the results and feel younger and
less tired-looking. However, because the aging process does
not slow down nor stop, a patient may want to have a New
York brow lift surgery done once again later down the line.
If you are considering a New
York brow lift surgery, we would encourage you to meet with
one of our board certified New York plastic surgeons for
a free consultation to discuss your options for a New York
brow lift surgery.
Meeting with one of our New York plastic surgeons will
allow you to get detailed information about the procedure
you are considering, such as the risks and benefits involved,
the costs, type of anesthesia used and recovery period,
and is a great opportunity to address any concerns or questions
you may have about the New York brow lift surgery procedure.
