Along with the effects of solar UV rays and
the aging process, other factors that may have undesirable
effects on the appearance of our forehead skin include the
emotions we express everyday through facial gestures. The
purpose of a California brow lift surgery is primarily to
aid in improving the appearance of the forehead area by
adjusting the droopiness of the eyebrows, and forehead creases
that may cause a person to look tired or angry.
Typically performed as an outpatient procedure, California
brow lift surgery procedures are accomplished in one of
two ways: The first is the Traditional California brow lift
surgery which calls for an incision that follows the natural
contours of the hairline where the skin is gently lifted
so that segments of the forehead muscle and excess skin
can be extracted and the remaining tissue smoothed out.
The second way is called the Endoscopic California brow
lift, in which the surgeon, rather than making a long incision
across the hairline, he or she makes several little incisions
into which an endoscope is inserted and the underlying tissue
pulled upwards.
In either case, whether through a traditional or endoscopic
California brow lift surgery, the vast majority of people
who have undergone this procedure feel as though they have
regained some of their youthfulness and therefore may start
to feel younger as a result. However, because the aging
process does not slow down nor stop, a patient may want
to have a California brow lift surgery procedure done once
again later down the line.
If you are considering a California brow lift surgery,
we would encourage you to meet with one of our board certified
California plastic surgeons for a free consultation to discuss
your options for a California brow lift surgery.
Meeting with one of our California plastic surgeons will
allow you to get detailed information about the procedure
you are considering, such as the risks and benefits involved,
the costs, type of anesthesia used and recovery period,
and is a great opportunity to address any concerns or questions
you may have. |
