Face Lift / Composite Face Lift / The Contour ThreadLift™
- Traditional Face Lift
The basic or traditional facelift involves incisions made
at the hairline. Excess skin is removed. The skin is then
gently pulled and tightened over your face. The incisions
are ultimately closed with stitches.
- The Contour ThreadLift™
A Thread lift is an exciting nonincisional lift that has been evolving over the last four years. Now, the Contour Threads have obtained FDA approval of their safety and efficacy (proof that they work). This is the only FDA approved barbed suture.
- Mini-Face Lift
The Mini face lift works well if you are in your late
30s or early 40s. A small incision is made in front of
the ear, then, a small area of skin is lifted. This technique
works well for targeting areas in your face that are showing
early signs of aging.
- ThermaCool Face Lift / Non-Surgical
Face Lift
ThermaCool is a face lift procedure that
uses radiofrequency energy to heat the underlying tissue
below the skin while keeping the skin surface cool. This
process tightens the existing collagen and stimulates
new collagen growth. A local anesthetic cream will be
used to numb the treatment area for one hour before your
procedure. The time this procedure normally takes ranges
between 30 minutes and one hour depending on the area
that is being treated. While the procedure should not
hurt, you may experience a sensation of heat in the treated
areas. There are no restrictions in activity following
the ThermaCool face lift.
- Weekend Face Lift
In a weekend face lift, a small incision
is made beneath the chin, excess fatty deposits are suctioned
from the neck, and then the inside of the skin is lasered
with a CO2 laser to cause the skin to contract. The muscle
in the neck can be tightened, if necessary, through the
same incision, and a chin implant placed at the same time.
The procedure is performed with local anesthesia only.
- Composite Face Lift
A composite face lift consists separating
the muscle around the eye from its attachment to the cheek
bone through an incision in the lower eyelid. It can then
be lifted and sutured into place. At the same time, the
arcus marginal muscle is released (AMR) and repositioned
to cover the orbital bone. There is more swelling with
the composite lift than with more superficial lifts.
